HOW IT ALL STARTED:Drinking games have been around for a long time!
After thousands of years of people enjoying alcohol, there are literally hundreds of drinking games out there nowadays. Drinking Games date back to as far as over 1500 years ago. The creative minds that developed these and passed them down from generation to generation cannot be forgotten. But who is responsible for keeping track of these wild games? Well... That's where we come in! We don't want any of them to get lost or worse. Lost in translation... DrinkingGames.beer is here to keep track of them in one familiar, safe and easy to use site. Below is our own personal history about how we came to be what we are today. Back in 2016, DrinkingGames.beer was created by Trevor Balthrop under the name DrinkDrankDrunkGames.com. Trevor created the website as a way to make people get along better when they would hang out. People were always having a hard time remembering what drinking games to play or would forget the rules. Which is pretty easy to do when you are two or three sheets to the wind almost. There were already other drinking game websites out there, except that there were none quite like this one. It's easy to use, easy to remember, easy to find and we focus on the important part of this website. The drinking games! We wanted to create a place where friends could visit and enjoy whatever drinking game they wanted. No longer would our friends forget or drunkenly argue about rules. We now had a place to go to that was resourceful, online, free, easy to understand and available at all times. Oh and did we say, fun to look at? Ever since then the website was regularly updated to include more and more of our favorite drinking games. We found ourselves using it a lot to keep track of the fun. After awhile, it caught on and other friends started using the website to find drinking games. That is when we realized we could do something big. There is an entire world full of drinking games that people need to know about. They need a way to find them easily and discover games they've never heard of before. That's when things became clear as vodka. Let's be the first website to find and index every drinking game ever created. Tony, a friend of Trevor's, had the same idea in mind. Why don't we find every drinking game imaginable and put them all in one spot? Tony came to Trevor with his amazingly creative ideas because he knew what this drinking establishment needed to do. What we needed to do was spread the drunken love to as many people as possible! Tony quickly joined the inebriated forces making this journey a two man marching band. A drunken dynamic duo of alcoholic-y greatness was upon us! And alcoholic-y greatness was exactly what they achieved. For the remainder of 2017 these two champs added tons of games and started the first ever resource of Beer Pong Rules by State. They redesigned the website with the expertise of Tony. They sold a bunch of cups to support their cause, played a bunch of games, and designed some badass shirts to help promote our vision of finding every drinking game ever. Then came 2018, we launched our second new design by Tony on New Year's Eve and created something similar to what you see today. We pushed through the countless hangovers and improved the website to be as clean and user friendly as possible. We made it a mission to always make things easier for our beer glazed eyeballs. Even if you are wearing your best pair of beer goggles... Summer 2018 came around and we were almost done with our Beer Pong Rules by State. Tony created an awesome interactive map of the US so that you would be able to easily click on the state you want. Then check out the Beer Pong rules for them. By the time 4th of July came around. It was completed! All 50 states each with their own specific set of beer pong rules and variations. The dynamic duo that was Tony and Trevor were happy! Yet still thirsty and looking for more beer games. The site started getting more and more traffic which meant the fans were thirsty too! We still knew something was missing. It was time to grow the team! The first to come on board was Jess (Tony's fiancee!) and she quickly won the hearts of everyone! She throws amazing events, comes up with great ideas, great content, and her help shines through the website you see here today. Jess would join the force and the team size grew to three. Each with our craftsmanship combined generated more content and we increased our reach across the seas. Gaining more visitors from London, Australia, Germany, Canada, South America, parts of Africa, and many more places around the globe. Next on board we welcomed Doug to the drinking game family! Doug was an instant winner because his knowledge of alcohol was astounding. His ability to find and retain information paved the way to us finding even more drinking games. His ideas along with the rest of the team propelled us into doing a lot more thinking and a lot more drinking! Doug and Jess still have a ton of great things lined up for us too. The addition of these new team members put us at four drunkies. It has made a ton of more things possible. Their work is greatly appreciated and their dedication to drinking games is exactly what Tony and Trevor were looking for. Eventually this lead to the team inventing what we like to call a Drinking Game Generator or a Random Rule Generator. It was an invention that changed a lot about how we can play drinking games. These Random Generators not only helped us come up with better ideas for drinking games. The generators can also be used by themself as a drinking game! Approaching New Year's 2019, the new year was about to ring in and we had many achievements to cheers to. Except that the team agreed, there was still something missing... Like a beer can right under our noses the entire time. Then, after 2 years of being DrinkDrankDrunkGames.com. We gave it a lot of thought. It was decided and the name of the company needed to change. New Years 2019 came the announcement. We officially branded ourselves as www.DrinkingGames.beer! We changed the name to something that could easily be remembered because let's face it. The old name was a mouthful and even we had a hard time remembering it when s***faced. We upgraded our design and made a renewed effort to go ping-pong balls deep into the wide wild world of drinking games. Try saying that ten times fast! Then take a drink if you mess up. Anyways! Now it is the year 2019 and it gets even better. We can't wait to show you what we have for DrinkingGames.beer. Taking things to new heights. The ideas keep pouring out like sweet honey mead and naturally so did the drinking games too. Naturally! Woop, woop! More engagement, more opportunities, more beer and a metric f*** ton of drinking games. This year is your year which means it's our year too! Or something like that I don't know. We are a little tipsy and a little teary-eyed after writing this. On that note, cheers friends! PHOENIX, Arizona, May 17, 2019  This just in: four talented friends - all powerful sorcerers in their own right - have invented a new way to collect, catalog, curate and collate a list of all the drinking games there are, and they've named their spawn DrinkingGames.beer. Hot on the heels of announcing this earth-shattering, first-of-its-kind innovation comes a second announcement: I'm happy to announce on behalf of Trevor, Tony, Doug, Jess, and the rest of the DrinkingGames.beer family that we are incorporating. That's right - like some kind of corporate pinnochio finally becoming a real boy-conglomerate, by the end of this month the website that you've all grown up reading at DrinkingGames.beer shall henceforth and forevermore be branded DrinkingGames.beer, LLC. DrinkingGames.beer, LLC was founded in 2016 by four friends, as a way for all interested parties to learn more about drinking games and learn how to have the most fun possible while drinking responsibly...
